Barbecue Zucchini - Is it Any Good?

The first question we must ask is if Zucchini is aFirst thing you want to do is mix the oil, salt and
vegetable or a fruit? Well guess what it's a little bit ofpepper, garlic powder, and the oregano all together in
both! It belongs to the gourd family, as well asa large bowl. Set it aside for later. Now slice the
summer squash which is both a fruit and a veggie.Zucchini's like I mentioned above lengthwise and try
One other thing to note is that it has seeds whichto get 4 slices out of each one. Now brush the slices

sized ones because the small ones will burn easily andso you don't want to throw it on and take it off and
the large ones will take too long and wont cook rightwait another hour for the meat to finish while your
all the way through so find a few good medium sizedzucchini gets cold. Once its ready throw the slices on
ones (about 6 inches). Another reason we want thisthe grill on medium heat for about 4 or 5 minutes on
size is because we are going to be slicing theseeach side taking care to make sure the flames don't
lengthwise and we want about 4 slices from eachflair up and burn your zucchini. One last thing you may
one.want to try when you pull these babies off the grill is
1 lb. of Zucchinisprinkle a little lemon juice on them as this will give it
4 T. of olive oileven more incredible flavor! I recently barbecue
1 1/2 tsp. of oregano, driedzucchini when I had some relatives visiting and I also
1/2 tsp. garlic powder (never garlic salt)sprinkled a little Parmesan cheese on each one and
1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepperman did they love that!
2 T. of lemon juice Salt to taste.
