This rub is good on any meat, whether it be pork,Anyway, here are the recipes for the rubs:
beef, poultry or fish.WET RUB
If you like to barbecue, which I do, just rub the1CUP
Adobo Rub all over the meat about 1-2 hours before4 tablespoons jarred chopped garlic
you light the barbecue pit.3 tablespoons kosher or sea salt
I like to use a Weber kettle with charcoals for that2 tablespoon black pepper
real barbecue flavor. Just soak some hickory chips in4 tablespoons dried oregano
water for about an hour before you are ready to4 tablespoons olive oil
cook. Once your coals are ready to go, throw the4 tablespoons white wine vinegar
prepared meat on the grill and cover for a while to1. Combine these ingredients in a mixer and blend well.
give it a nice smoky flavor.DRY RUB
You can also use these rubs on meats roasted in2 CUPS
your oven. I often use the oven when the weather12 tablespoons kosher or sea salt
is not good enough to get out and barbecue. One6 tablespoon black pepper
little secret I have for a great roast, is to rub olive oil3 tablespoons dried oregano
all over the meat and then cover it well with6 tablespoons garlic powder
seasoning. Then bake it for 10 minutes, depending on6 tablespoons onion powder
the size, one 500 degrees and then turn the oven1. Combine these ingredients in a small bowl and blend
down to 300-325 degrees to finish it off. My roastswell.
